We had a great day out with Nice Tour Bali. Our driver was very nice and had a very pleasant style of driving. His English may not have been perfect, but he was able to answer all our questions and also shared some nice stories and insights in the local culture.
We booked our tour in the afternoon the day before. On their website you can start a chat which was very handy and a very nice to book this tour. Afterwards we received an email with a confirmation and the itinerary.
We were picked up at 9:30 and started out with a glass bottom boat tour and visited Turtle Island. This first part was only okay, because the animals are kept in small cages/basins and from a Western point of view it does not seem appropriate. But the staff was very nice and seemed to care about the well being of the animals. Seeing a 70 year old turtle was very impressive.
After this we were visiting the Water Blow in Nusa Dua which was very cool and we were lucky that the waves were big enough to provide us with some amazing water fountains.
Next up was a very nice lunch break at a local restaurant where we had a mixed platter of Indonesian cuisine. It was pre-selected and if you’re vegetarian you may want to mention this when booking the tour so they may arrange something different. For us it was very delicious.
After lunch, we set out to visit Padang Padang Beach and Suluban Beach. Both were amazing, but if you have surf-shoes at hand remember to bring them along.
After relaxing at the beaches, we went to Uluwatu temple were our driver showed us around and advised us to not wear our glasses and take our phones out. This is something you should always keep in mind as the monkeys around the temple are very cheeky and steal everything if you’re not aware of your surroundings. There are some animal trainers around who may be able to get your stuff back, but the monkeys might also just drop whatever they have in their hands down the cliff.
At sunset we watched the Kecak and Fire Dance which was very impressive and a very unique experience.
Before we were dropped off we enjoyed a candle light dinner on the Jimbaran Beach where we were served a mixed seafood platter (again pre-selected) and enjoyed the waves breaking some 10 meters in front of us.
All in all this was a very exciting day and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Thanks to everyone at Nice Tour Bali.
